Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 qt. milk
  • 1 qt. cream
  • 12 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 pt. brandy
  • 1/2 pt. rye whiskey
  • 1/4 pt. Jamaican or New England rum
  • 1/4 pt. sherry
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg and cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Mix liquor together first. Separate the egg yolks from whites. Beat yolks, then add sugar and mix well. Add liquor mix, drop by drop, to egg mixture, while slowly beating the eggs (if you do this too fast it will curdle the mixture).
  2. Add milk and cream; continue to slowly mix. Add 1/2 tablespoon nutmeg and cinnamon to the mixture. Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into mixture. Let set in cool place for several days. The mixture will be very thick.
  3. When ready to serve, stir mixture and let set for about 5 or 10 minutes.
