Ingredients

  • 6 to 9 lb. sugar
  • 6 (40 oz.) bottles pure grape juice
  • 16 oz. can frozen grape juice
  • 2 yeast cakes

Instructions

  1. Put sugar in a 5-gallon glass container.
  2. Add just enough water to dissolve the sugar.
  3. Add bottled pure grape juice and can of frozen grape juice.
  4. Add enough water to bring the level to about 4 1/2 gallons.
  5. Crumble yeast cakes and add to the mixture.
  6. Cover the opening of the bottle with 2 layers of Saran Wrap and secure with rubber bands.
  7. Let it stand in a dark closet until all bubbling stops, about 30 days.
  8. Siphon into bottles and enjoy.
