- First, remove nearly all fat from the pan and scrape the drippings loose.
- Depending on the amount of drippings and desired gravy quantity, prepare a slurry with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch in 1 cup of cold water or veggie juice.
- Add garlic powder and 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce to the slurry.
- Shake or stir the mixture well.
- Add the slurry to hot pan drippings and stir constantly.
- Pour in wine, salt, and pepper to taste.
- Stir until the gravy thickens rapidly and is smooth.
