Instructions
- Melt oleo or butter in an 8 x 8-inch square pan.
- Add fruit and its juice.
- (Peaches or cherries are best; but any fruit may be used, fresh or canned.)
- Make a batter of the flour, milk, sugar, baking powder and salt.
- Pour the batter over the melted butter and the fruit.
- Bake at 375° for about 30 minutes (about 45 minutes for cherries).
- Serves approximately 4 to 5 people.
