Ingredients

  • 3 blocks butter or margarine
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. plain flour
  • 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar and butter.
  2. Add 1/2 of plain flour.
  3. Add eggs, then rest of plain flour.
  4. Add milk, self-rising flour and vanilla.
  5. Bake in 3 (9-inch) layer pans or a long flat pan.
  6. Bake 30 minutes at 350°.
