Ingredients

  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. water
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar

Instructions

  1. Put egg yolks into mixing bowl.
  2. Beat at low speed 2 minutes. Add water and beat until foams like whites.
  3. Add small amounts of sugar at a time, beating 4 minutes.
  4. Add flavoring, flour with cream of tartar, beating in small amounts at a time.
  5. Beat for 4 minutes.
  6. Add pinch of salt to egg whites.
  7. Beat until dry.
  8. Fold into mixture.
