Instructions
- Slice pound cake into 1/4-inch slices.
- Slice each slice on the diagonal.
- Sprinkle pound cake with Amaretto.
- Arrange cake in a pinwheel design in a 1 1/2-quart mixing bowl which has been lined with plastic wrap.
- Toast almonds in 375° oven until golden brown, approximately 10 minutes.
- Cool and chop.
