- Line the bottom and sides of an 8 or 9-inch cake pan with aluminum foil.
- Heavily butter or spray the foil with Pam.
- Set the pan on hot pads or a heat-resistant surface.
- Melt butter in a saucepan.
- Add sugar and stir until combined.
- Add corn syrup and almonds; stir to combine.
- Bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly, until it turns golden brown, about 5 to 6 minutes.
- Working quickly, pour the candy into the prepared pan.
- Cool for about 15 minutes or until firm.
- Remove candy from the pan by lifting the edges of the foil.
- Peel off the foil.
- Cool thoroughly.
- Break into pieces.
