Angel Roll is a light, fluffy cake roll filled with cherry pie filling and topped with a sweet frosting, perfect for celebrations or a delightful dessert treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 box angel food cake mix
  • 1/2 cup Crisco
  • 1/2 stick butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 can cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Prepare the cake mix according to the directions on the box.
  2. Spread the batter evenly on an ungreased large cookie sheet.
  3. Bake at 350°F until golden brown on top, about 10 to 15 minutes.
  4. Let the cake cool slightly.
  5. Loosen the sides of the cake and turn it onto a clean dish towel.
  6. Starting at one end, roll the cake up in the towel.
  7. Cool completely in the towel.
