Ingredients

  • 1 cup Salted Butter, Softened
  • 2/3 cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1/2 cups Toasted Nuts (if Desired)

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and brown sugar until creamy, and then add vanilla.
  2. In a separate bowl combine salt and flour.
  3. Add the dry ingredients (and nuts if desired) to the butter and brown sugar.
  4. Form 2 tablespoonfuls of dough at a time into balls and place on a baking sheet.
  5. With your thumb, gently press an indentation in the middle of each ball.
  6. In the indentation, place about 1 teaspoon of jam or jelly.
  7. Bake these cookies at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. Set them on a cooling rack to cool.
  8. Enjoy!
