Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. margarine
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 egg yolks (unbeaten)
  • 1/2 c. sour cream

Instructions

  1. Cut the margarine into flour as for pie dough.
  2. With a fork, mix together the egg yolks, sour cream and vanilla.
  3. With your hands, form a firm dough.
  4. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Divide dough into 4 equal parts, working with one piece at a time; roll out thin on a floured bread board.
  5. Cut into 2-inch squares and cut a slot in the center.
  6. Bake in a 350° oven on ungreased cookie sheet 10 to 15 minutes.
  7. Bake only until light brown. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
