Appalachian Red Grape Spread

Instructions
- Peel skins off grapes and set aside.
- Simmer peeled grapes in a saucepan until tender.
- Remove from heat and remove seeds with a drainer spoon.
- Add skins, vinegar and sugar; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1/2 hour.
- Add cinnamon and cloves and boil for 10 minutes.
- Pour into sterilized canning jars and seal tightly.
- Store in cellar or a cool, dry place.
- Yields 1 1/2 quarts.
