Apple Bar Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. apples (coarse)
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. oleo, softened (1 stick)
  • 1/2 c. chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cream together sugar and oleo.
  2. Add flour and other ingredients.
  3. Add the apples last.
  4. Mix well and place in a greased pan, 9 x 13-inch, and bake in a 350° oven for about 1 hour.
  5. Cut in bars when cool.
  6. Yields about 20 bars.
