Ingredients

  • 4 cups apple juice
  • 1/4 cup red hots
  • 1 package powdered fruit pectin
  • 4 1/2 cups sugar

Instructions

  1. Boil your fruit jars for 10 minutes.
  2. Let jars cool upside down on a dish towel.
  3. Combine apple juice and powdered fruit pectin in a large saucepan; bring to a full, rolling boil.
  4. Add sugar and red hots candies, stirring constantly; bring to a boil.
  5. Boil for 3 minutes; remove from heat.
  6. Let boiling subside; skim foam from the top.
  7. Pour hot jelly into sterilized jars; seal.
