Apple Dumpling Like Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 lb. apples
  • cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Grease 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Cover bottom of pan with freshly cut apple slices (couple of layers).
  3. Into the flour and sugar mixture, beat in 2 eggs.
  4. Mix in oil.
  5. Spread this mixture over apples.
  6. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
  7. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.
  8. Serve with whipped cream if desired.
