Ingredients

  • 4 to 5 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tsp apple pie spice
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp butter or oleo
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Line a 9 or 10-inch pie pan with the bottom crust.
  2. Add peeled and sliced apples into the crust and sprinkle with lemon juice.
  3. In a small bowl, mix sugar, apple pie spice, salt, and cornstarch.
  4. Sprinkle the mixture over the apples.
  5. Dot the filling with butter or oleo.
  6. Place the top crust over the filling and seal the edges.
  7. Slash the top crust to allow steam escape.
  8. Bake in a 425°F oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour until the crust is golden brown.
