Ingredients

  • 4 or 5 egg yolks
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • vanilla

Instructions

  1. Whip the egg yolks and mix all ingredients together.
  2. Whip the egg whites and fold into the mixture.
  3. Pour the batter into a tube pan.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes.
