Sweet, flaky apricot pull-aparts with a rich filling and tender bread dough, perfect for sharing at breakfast or brunch with family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. frozen white bread dough
  • 3 Tbsp. melted margarine
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 12 oz. can apricot or prune pastry filling

Instructions

  1. Cut the thawed bread dough in half lengthwise, then cut into 8 pieces crosswise to make 16 pieces total.
  2. Flatten each piece of dough with your fingers, stretching slightly to form 4-inch circles.
  3. Using one can of pastry filling, spoon 1 tablespoon of filling into the center of each dough circle.
  4. Bring the edges of the dough together and pinch to seal.
  5. Dip each sealed dough ball into melted margarine, then into sugar.
  6. Place the dough balls, seam side down, in a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan in two layers.
  7. Cover and let rise until almost double in size.
  8. Bake in a 350°F oven for 35 to 40 minutes, covering with foil during the last 10 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven and from the pan.
  10. Invert onto a serving platter and serve warm.
