- Wrap each water chestnut with a half slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
- Place the bacon-wrapped water chestnuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for about 30 minutes or until the bacon is crispy.
- Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine ketchup and brown sugar.
- Simmer over low heat until the mixture is well blended and slightly thickened.
- Remove the bacon-wrapped water chestnuts from the oven and brush or dip them into the ketchup-brown sugar glaze.
- Serve hot or at room temperature.
