Ingredients

  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 lb bacon
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans baked beans

Instructions

  1. Brown hamburger and then drain.
  2. Cook bacon and crumble (I use precooked bacon because I hate cooking bacon).
  3. Put baked beans in crockpot (drain for thicker beans, I usually drain one can and not the other).
  4. Chop up green pepper and add to crock pot.
  5. Add brown sugar (amount can vary according to taste preference).
  6. Add bacon and hamburger to crock pot and stir.
  7. Cook on low for four-six hours.
  8. Note: if you use high fat hamburger the beans will be runnier. I recommend using lower fat.
