Baked tomatoes topped with melted Parmesan and mozzarella create a savory, cheesy side perfect for summer meals, vegetarian dishes, or a quick, flavorful appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh tomatoes
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chopped basil
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Cut the tomatoes in half crosswise and place them cut side up in a baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the tomatoes with onion powder, chopped basil, dried oregano, and garlic powder.
  4. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the tomatoes.
  5. Top with grated Mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is browned and bubbly.
  7. Serve immediately.
