Baking Powder Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. butter or margarine
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Sift together all dry ingredients.
  2. Cut in butter and mix as for pie crust.
  3. Beat eggs; add to milk and add to first mixture. Knead dough until it sticks together and is smooth.
  4. Divide into 3 portions.
  5. Roll each to thickness desired; spread on filling. Roll up as for jelly roll.
  6. Bake in preheated 350° oven for 30 minutes, or until brown.
  7. While still warm, dust with powdered sugar.
