Ingredients

  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 c. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. water

Instructions

  1. In a large flat-bottomed bowl, mix flour and salt with a rubber spatula or wooden spoon.
  2. Add water slowly, mixing as you pour. Additional water may be needed depending on humidity.
  3. Use caution in adding more water, as the dough should be very stiff for best results.
  4. Knead the dough for 10 minutes.
  5. Dough is ready to use when the texture appears soft and smooth.
  6. Bake cookie creations in a 325° to 350°F oven.
  7. Allow 1/2 hour baking time per 1/4 inch thickness of dough. The average baking time is 1 hour.
