Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 6 cups sliced, pared, cored apples
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon margarine

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  2. Add sliced, pared, cored apples to the bowl and toss to coat.
  3. Add lemon juice to the apple mixture and stir well.
  4. Pour the apple filling into a prepared pie crust.
  5. Dot the filling with margarine.
  6. Bake in a 425°F oven for 50 minutes until golden and bubbly.
