Ingredients

  • 1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes, drained and coarsely chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dried basil
  • 4 tsp. chopped fresh basil
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in the container of an electric blender; process until smooth.
  2. Pour the blended mixture into a medium saucepan.
  3. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  4. Cover the saucepan.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
