Ingredients

  • 1 can plain beans (your choice)
  • 1/2 to 3/4 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 small box cornbread mix

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef, adding onions.
  2. Drain and mix with beans.
  3. Prepare cornbread mix according to directions on the package.
  4. In a well-greased pie plate, layer the meat and bean mixture alternately with the cornbread mixture.
  5. Top with cornbread mix.
  6. Bake at 400° until golden brown.
