- Adjust oven rack to lowest position.
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- In a food processor with steel blade, combine flour, salt, and Crisco; pulse about 6 seconds until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add milk and process until dough forms a ball.
- Continue processing for 2 minutes.
- On a floured surface, roll dough into a rectangle 1/4-inch thick.
- Fold dough in half, pressing lightly.
- Using a 1 1/2-inch biscuit cutter, cut out dough and place on a cookie sheet.
- Re-roll scraps and repeat, cutting more biscuits. Prick each biscuit with a fork.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until pale golden.
- Turn off oven and leave biscuits in oven for 35 minutes.
