Ingredients

  • 1 qt. milk
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 mounded Tbsp. Crisco
  • 7 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • flour
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast

Instructions

  1. Scald milk and pour over sugar, Crisco, and salt.
  2. Beat eggs and add to the mixture.
  3. Measure 2 1/2 cups of flour into another bowl and add yeast.
  4. Pour the lukewarm mixture into the flour and mix.
  5. Add the rest of the flour gradually until fully incorporated.
  6. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes.
  7. Grease a bowl and place the dough inside.
  8. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise.
  9. Once risen, punch down the dough and let it rise again.
  10. Punch down the dough again and shape it into loaves, rolls, or cinnamon rolls.
  11. Bake at 325° until lightly browned.
