Ingredients

  • 2 lb. steak (1 1/2 inches thick; shell sirloin)
  • 1 lb. can tomatoes (undrained)
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. dried parsley
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp. dried onion
  • 2 Tbsp. salad oil
  • 6 slices Provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Place steak in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Pour tomatoes and spices over steak.
  3. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1 1/2 hours.
  4. Top with cheese.
  5. Bake until cheese melts and is light brown.
  6. Makes 6 servings.
  7. Good winter dish.
