Ingredients

  • 4 cups ripe berries
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups biscuit mix
  • 2/3 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Wash berries and combine with water and sugar in a kettle with a lid.
  2. Bring to a boil and cook until berries are soft and juices are abundant.
  3. Mix biscuit mix with milk to form a dough.
  4. Drop teaspoonfuls of the dough into the boiling berries.
  5. Cover and cook for 15 minutes until dumplings are cooked through.
  6. Optional: Add sugar and cinnamon to the dumpling mix for a sweeter flavor.
