Ingredients

  • 1 c. shortening
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. sour milk
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • white flour

Instructions

  1. Combine the ingredients in their order.
  2. Add white flour until thick like pie dough.
  3. Roll out on floured board and cut shapes as desired.
  4. After first 2 or 3 rollings, the dough will be less tasty so plan to use as much dough in each rolling as possible. Thick cookies have a cake-like taste.
