Ingredients

  • cake mix
  • egg
  • semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Grease a cookie sheet with shortening.
  3. Prepare the cake mix as directed on the package, using 1/2 cup water and 2 eggs, omitting salad oil.
  4. Drop the dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto the greased cookie sheet, about 3 inches apart.
  5. Sprinkle each cookie with semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until almost no impression remains when touched lightly.
  7. Cool on the cookie sheet for 1 minute.
  8. Lift the cookies to a rack with a pancake turner to cool completely.
