Creamy blender macaroni and cheese with sharp cheddar flavor, smooth sauce, and optional crunchy topping, perfect for comforting family dinners or quick weeknight meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups elbows
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 thin slice onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • sprinkling of pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 pound Cheddar cheese, cut in cubes

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni until tender, then drain.
  2. Toss cooked macaroni with margarine and transfer to a casserole dish.
  3. Place all other ingredients in a blender and blend until thick and mushy.
  4. Pour the blended cheese sauce over the macaroni in the casserole dish.
  5. Sprinkle with crumbs, if desired.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 40 minutes.
