Boiled Coffee

Ingredients

  • 1 c. ground coffee
  • 1 c. cold water
  • 1 egg white, slightly beaten

Instructions

  1. Combine and stir all the ingredients.
  2. The egg shell
  3. may be added to the mixture.
  4. So may a pinch of salt.
  5. Pour over these ingredients 4 cups freshly boiled water.
  6. Boil the coffee for 3 or 4 minutes.
  7. Stop the spout of the coffeepot with paper.
  8. Set the pot on back of the stove.
  9. Cut down the grounds from the sides and add 1/4 cup cold water and permit the coffee to stand for 10 minutes before serving it.
