Ingredients

  • 1 whole turkey

Instructions

  1. Use a large stewing pot.
  2. Fill the pot with enough water to cover the turkey.
  3. Put the whole turkey into the pot and turn on the burner high enough to bring the water to a boil.
  4. Once the water boils, set a timer for 1 hour, adjusting if the turkey is frozen or unfrozen.
  5. Boil until the meat on the wings is done and comes off the bone slightly.
  6. Remove the turkey from the pot and let it rest before carving.
  7. If stuffing is needed, prepare it separately in the oven.
  8. This method is for plain, unstuffed turkey.
