Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Caramelize 1 cup sugar.
  2. In large pan, boil 2 cups sugar and milk.
  3. Pour caramelized sugar into boiling mixture in slow steady stream.
  4. Cook to a steady stream.
  5. Remove from heat; add soda, butter, cream, vanilla and nuts.
  6. Stir until glossy appearance becomes dull.
  7. Drop on wax paper and cool.
