Ingredients

  • 8 slices bread
  • 8 oz. cheese slices
  • 1/4 c. melted butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 3/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 2 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Trim crusts from bread.
  2. Four hours before serving, alternate layers of bread and cheese in greased shallow casserole and pour melted butter over top.
  3. Beat eggs well; add salt, milk, pepper and mustard.
  4. Pour over ingredients in casserole.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for 3 hours.
  6. Bake at 350° for 3 minutes, covered. Uncover and bake 30 minutes more.
