- Rinse sauerkraut thoroughly; drain in colander.
- Shred cabbage; combine with sauerkraut.
- Cover with cold water; cook 1 hour.
- In a frypan, lightly brown flour; add enough warm water to make a thin sauce.
- Add to cabbage mixture.
- Add lima beans.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Cook 5 minutes longer.
