Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons salad oil

Instructions

  1. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Combine eggs, milk, and salad oil.
  3. Add to the flour mixture, beating well. Stir in 1 cup candied fruit and 1/2 cup nuts.
  4. Turn into a greased loaf pan.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 50 minutes or until done.
  6. Remove from pan and cool.
  7. Wrap and store overnight.
