  2. Mix sugar, Karo syrup, and margarine in a saucepan.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it reaches 212°F (light caramel color) or 290°F, about 10 to 15 minutes.

  6. Pour the caramel over the popped popcorn and pecans.
  7. Toss with two spoons until the popcorn is coated and dry.

Tips & Substitutions

For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of sea salt to the caramel mixture. If you don't have margarine, unsalted butter works well as a substitute. To save time, use pre-popped popcorn, or try air-popped popcorn for a lighter version. Ensure that all unpopped kernels are removed to avoid a crunchy surprise in your candy corn.

Serving Suggestions

This candy corn is perfect for parties, Halloween gatherings, or as a sweet snack. Serve it in festive bowls or bags for a treat that guests can easily grab. It pairs beautifully with Val'S Frozen Daiquiris for a fun dessert spread. You can also enjoy it as a topping on ice cream or alongside a bowl of Pistachio Pudding And Cool Whip.

Storage & Reheating

Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature. This will help maintain the crunchy texture of the popcorn. Avoid refrigerating, as moisture can make the candy corn chewy. If you want to enjoy them later, simply take them out and let them sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving.
