Caramel Nut Icing

Ingredients

  • 1 cube margarine
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/2 tsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. Pet milk
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 c. powdered sugar
  • tad of vanilla
  • nuts (if desired)

Instructions

  1. Boil first 4 ingredients for 1 minute.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Add the 1/2 cup of brown sugar.
  4. Stir well.
  5. Add 2 cups powdered sugar, vanilla and nuts, if desired.
  6. (Coconut may be substituted.)
