Ingredients

  • 1 (1 lb. 1 oz.) can fruit cocktail
  • 1 small box peach or strawberry jello
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • dash of salt
  • 1 pint Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Drain the fruit cocktail.
  2. Add enough water to the drained fruit to make 1 cup of liquid.
  3. Bring the water to a boil and pour it over the jello powder.
  4. Add water, orange juice, lemon juice, and a dash of salt to the mixture.
  5. Place the mixture in the refrigerator until it becomes syrupy.
  6. Once syrupy, add the drained fruit and fold in the Cool Whip.
  7. Serve chilled. Makes approximately 1 1/2 quarts.
