Ingredients

  • 1 lb cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 2 eggs, beaten

Instructions

  1. Cut cheese into small pieces and melt in double boiler.
  2. Add evaporated milk, salt and mustard.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in eggs.
  4. Return to double boiler and cook until eggs thicken, stirring constantly.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Pour into a dish and cool slowly.
  7. Stir as it cools to prevent a crust from forming.
  8. Put in jars, cover and store in refrigerator.
  9. Keeps several weeks.
