Ingredients

  • 8 oz. can pitted cherries
  • 1 package cherry gelatin
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed ice
  • 6 oz. softened cream cheese

Instructions

  1. Drain cherries and set aside the syrup.
  2. Add water to the syrup until it amounts to 3/4 cup.
  3. Pour the mixture into a small pan and bring to a boil on high heat.
  4. Pour the boiling mixture into a blender.
  5. Add cherry gelatin to the blender.
  6. Cover and blend at low speed for approximately 30 seconds.
  7. Add softened cream cheese and crushed ice to the blender.
  8. Blend at high speed for approximately 1 minute until smooth.
  9. Pour the mixture into a mold or dessert bowls.
  10. Add cherries one at a time to the mixture and gently mix.
  11. Chill until firm, about 1 hour.
  12. Unmold and serve the dessert chilled.
