Cherry Streusel Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. butter or margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 can cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Beat softened butter; add sugar and beat until creamy.
  2. Add eggs all at once; beat until creamy.
  3. Add flour and juice.
  4. Beat for approximately 2 minutes.
  5. Pour into greased pan.
  6. Score batter into squares and spoon 1 tablespoon pie filling in center of each square.
  7. Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes or until golden brown. While warm, drizzle glaze on top of squares.
