Ingredients

  • 6 1/2 to 7 cups flour
  • 2 packets instant yeast
  • 3 teaspoons salt
  • 2 1/2 cups warm water
  • 6 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a large mixer bowl, combine 3 cups of flour, yeast, and salt. Mix well.
  2. Add warm water and oil to the flour mixture.
  3. Blend at medium speed for approximately 3 minutes.
  4. Gradually stir in the remaining flour by hand until a firm dough forms.
  5. On a floured surface, knead the dough for 3 to 5 minutes.
  6. Place the dough in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap and a towel, and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  7. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough to the size of your pizza pan.
  8. Lightly oil the pan and place the rolled dough on top of it.
  9. Cover with a towel and let the dough rise for an additional 30 minutes.
  10. Add your favorite toppings and bake at 425°F until the bottom of the dough is brown, approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
