Chili Gumbo

Ingredients

  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 1/3 c. cubed cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 large can plain chili
  • 1 dash garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Boil 1-quart water with salt and pepper to taste. Add the chopped onion.
  2. Cook onion 5 minutes.
  3. Add macaroni and tomatoes. Cook 15 minutes, then add chili with chili powder and garlic salt. Cut cheese in cubes and add to mixture.
  4. Cook slowly until dissolved.
