Instructions
- Heat oil to 385°.
- Sift cornstarch with flour, sugar and salt. Combine milk, water and egg.
- Stir into dry ingredients; mix until smooth.
- Heat rosette iron in fat until hot.
- Dip hot iron into batter and return to fat.
- Cook until pretzels are delicately browned, turning once.
- Drain on absorbent paper.
- Makes 6 dozen.
