Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 1/4 cups cold water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • sugar substitute equivalent to 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Mix cocoa, water, and salt in a heavy saucepan until smooth.
  2. Bring to a boil and simmer gently, stirring constantly for 3 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes.
  4. Add sweetener and vanilla and mix well.
  5. Pour into a jar, cover, and store in the refrigerator.
  6. Stir in the jar before measuring to use.
