Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 8 c. washed, unpeeled, thinly sliced cucumbers
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 c. sliced onions
  • 1 c. sliced bell pepper
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 tsp. mustard seed

Instructions

  1. Bring to a

  3. and let get cold:
  4. sugar and vinegar. Mix cucumbers and salt;
  5. let stand 1 hour.
  6. Drain in colander; don't rinse.
  7. Put
  8. in bowl and add onions, bell pepper, celery seed, mustard
  9. seed
  10. and pickling
  11. spice.
  12. Mix
  13. all together, cold. Put in
  14. jars;
  15. cap and store in refrigerator.
  16. Makes 4 pints.
